Privacy policy

Who this covers

This policy covers the Dam iPhone app and the website dam.byazan.com. Dam is made by Azan, an individual developer. "I" and "me" in this policy mean Azan. You can reach me at [email protected].

What stays on your iPhone

Dam stores the following on your device only. None of it is sent to me or to any server I run.

• Your checklist items, their notes and colors, templates and weekly schedule.
• Your history of completed, missed, skipped and paused items.
• Photos you take as proof that a task is done.
• Typed reasons for skipping an item.
• Your settings, including personality, alarm sound and accent color.
• Your character's points and streak.
• The date your free trial began.

Deleting the app deletes this data. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, Apple may include Dam's data in that backup under Apple's own terms.

Permissions Dam asks for

• Alarms and notifications: to remind you about items. These are scheduled on your iPhone.
• Camera: only if you choose photo proof. Photos are saved inside the app on your device.

You can turn any of these off in your iPhone's Settings.

Purchases

Dam comes with a 7-day free trial that needs no purchase and no account; the app keeps its start date on your iPhone. After it, Dam Pro is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes your payment, and I never see your card details, name or email address.

Dam uses a service called RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous identifier for your installation, your purchase history for Dam, and basic technical information such as your country and app version. It does not receive your tasks or any other content from the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What Dam does not do

• No accounts or sign-in.
• No analytics or usage tracking.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.

This website

This website has no cookies, forms or analytics. Two outside parties receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, when you load a page: the company that hosts the site, which may keep ordinary server logs, and Google, because the site's font is loaded from Google Fonts.

Emails you send

If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply and to fix the problem you describe, and I delete it when it is no longer needed.

Children

Dam is intended for adults and students and is not directed at children under 13. Dam does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. A parent or guardian can set Dam up on a child's device.

Your choices

Because your data is stored only on your device, you control it directly: you can edit or delete items in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. To ask about purchase records held by RevenueCat, email me and I will help.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change affects how data is handled, the app's update notes will say so.
